April 15, 2025 In 2018, the Institute of Plant Protection of the National Academy of Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences hosted the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Integrated plant protection - the key to the stability of the phytosanitary state of agrocenoses of Ukraine", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences, laureate of the State Prize in the field of science and technology, honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine Mykhailo Pavlovich Lisovoy. The purpose of the conference was to highlight topical issues on the protection of agricultural crops from harmful organisms under modern conditions and scientific discussions of scientists, exchange of scientific experience, ideas, results of scientific research and commemoration of the outstanding scientist Mykhailo Pavlovich Lisovoy.
More than 100 participants (including 48 online) from all regions of Ukraine took part in the conference, including representatives of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine; scientific institutions, educational institutions, agricultural producers, etc.
The conference participants were warmly greeted by: President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Crazy Yaroslav Mykhailovych; Director of the Plant Protection Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Oleksandr Ivanovich Borzykh and acting Academician-Secretary of the Crop Production Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Khareba Volodymyr Vasyliovych. In their speeches, they honored the memory of academician Mykhailo Pavlovich Lisovoy, noted his significant contribution to the development of the science of plant protection, the formation of a whole generation of specialists who continue his work even today. It was noted that in the conditions of a full-scale war, agricultural production of Ukraine has become a real front of food security - not only for our country, but also for the whole world. Under these circumstances, plant protection becomes even more important - because every timely protected hectare, every saved crop, every scientifically based technology works for the sustainability of the agricultural sector, the economy and, ultimately, for victory. They thanked Ukrainian scientists and farmers for their work, which today is a contribution to the recovery and development strategy of Ukraine.
Pupils of M.P. came to the conference and honored the memory of their teacher and mentor. Lisovoy - not only as a scientist and mentor, but also as an unusual person who forever changed their fate.
Galina Mykhailivna Lisova, head of the laboratory of immunity of agricultural plants to diseases, candidate biological science, senior of science the collaborator of IZR NAAS presented the presentation "Immunity and protection of plants - the scientific heritage of academician M.P. Lisovoy", in which he revealed the life path and formation of M.P. Lisovoy as a person, a scientist, a mentor; showed his scientific achievements, high professionalism, deep erudition and dedication to work, including training of scientific personnel.
Mykhailo Volodymyrovych Krut, Ph.D. biological science, senior of science collaborator IZR NAAS in the report "Scientific property and school of Academician M.P. Lisovoy" highlighted the scientific achievements of Academician M.P. Lisovoy and the scientific achievements of his students.
The participants of the conference were also presented with presentations: "Breeding for resistance against the main diseases of winter wheat at the Myroniv Wheat Institute named after V.M. "Phytosanitary status of potato cancer cells in Ukraine" (speaker Aurelia Georgiivna Potion, candidate s.-g. of Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Quarantine Diseases and Pests, Ukrainian Plant Quarantine Scientific Research Station of the Scientific Research Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences);
"Mycobiota of sunflower seeds" (dstoryteller Rozhkova Tetyana Oleksandrivna, candidate biological Science, Acting Head of the Department of General and Soil Microbiology, Institute of Microbiology and Virology named after D.K. Zabolotny National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine);
"Ecological paradigm of plant protection under organic (carbon) agriculture" (dstoryteller Pysarenko Viktor Mykytovych, Dr. S.-G. of Sciences, professor, head Department of Plant Protection, Poltava State Agrarian University);
"Introduction of innovative technologies in the fields of Agrofirma Kolos LLC (dstoryteller Leonid Vasyliovych centile, Dr. S.-G. Sciences, professor of the Department of Agriculture and Herbology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, laureate of the Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, director of Agrofirma Kolos LLC).
The following took part in the discussion: Afanasyeva O., Mishchenko L., Yarynchyn A. They noted the importance of such conferences for the exchange of scientific information and experience for solving urgent problems of protecting agricultural crops from harmful organisms, for establishing cooperation between scientific and educational institutions.
In the closing remarks, the deputy director of the Institute of Plant Protection of the National Academy of Sciences Anna Mykolayivna Tkalenko emphasized the importance andintegratedOho protectionin plants, which allows you to preserve the harvest, minimize the use of pesticides, and reduce the risks to the environment and human health. She emphasized the importance of conducting such scientific activities to increase the effectiveness of scientific research and the implementation of their results in agricultural production.
