It is with deep sadness that we inform you that on May 18, 2026, at the age of 65, STEPAN IVANOVYCH KUBIV - People's Deputy of Ukraine, famous statesman, scientist-economist, doctor of economic sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, passed away.
The life of Stepan Ivanovich became an example of selfless work for the benefit of Ukraine, its state formation, economic development and society. For many years, he successfully combined political activity with scientific work, making a significant contribution to the development of the state's economic policy, improvement of the financial system, and the development of agrarian and economic science.
Working as a People's Deputy of Ukraine and a statesman, Stepan Ivanovych consistently supported initiatives aimed at strengthening the country's economy, developing entrepreneurship, science and education. His professionalism, responsible attitude, principled and statesmanlike approach earned him the respect of colleagues, scientists and the public.
An important place in his activity was occupied by scientific and pedagogical work. As a doctor of economic sciences, professor and academician of the National Academy of Sciences, he made a significant contribution to the development of economic science, the study of financial and economic processes and problems of agrarian economy. His scientific achievements and many years of experience have gained recognition among specialists and the scientific community.
The good memory of Stepan Ivanovich Kubiv will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him as a wise, sincere and caring person, a devoted patriot of Ukraine.
