SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS
Institute of Plant Protection of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine
During the 75-year period of activity of the Institute of Plant Protection of the National Academy of Sciences, a whole cohort of candidates and doctors of sciences was trained through postgraduate and doctoral studies in the following specialties: entomology, phytopathology, ecology and others. Many of those who passed through the post-graduate department and became candidates or doctors of science, later worked and are currently working in the institutions of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, as well as in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Department of the State Production and Consumer Service of Ukraine, and agricultural companies, holding high positions.
Scientific schools were formed at the Institute of Plant Protection of the National Academy of Sciences at various stages of research to solve the most important issues related to plant protection: with of entomology (leaders - V.P. Pospyelov, M.A. Telenga, D.F. Rudnev, V.P. Vasiliev, B.A. Areshnikov, V.G. Dolin, V.A. Sanin, M.P. Dyadechko, V.P. Prystavko, V.P. Smilianets, M.P. Sekun, S.O. Trybel, V.P. Fedorenko, O.M. Lappa, V.F.Drozda with phytopathology (V.P. Muravyov, V.P. Peresypkin, M.P. Lisovyi, D.D. Sigaryova, S.V. Retman, V.M. Lopatin, G.V. Hrysenko, V.S. Chaban, S.V. Lysenko, V.G. Sergienko) and ecology (L.I. Bublyk., O.I. Borzykh, L.L. Gavrylyuk).
